How can we improve Seesmic for Android?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get Seesmic set to poll for updates w/o the need for background data being enabled!!!!!! I am on a limited income and have "background data: disabled,,,,my OTHER Twitter apps poll for tweets, etc, and background data DOESN'T need to be enabled....PLEASE fix this!!!! :D I'm gonna keep posting until this happens!!! :D
