How can we improve Seesmic for Android?

ICS and the SD card saga

Why has SD card support been removed from Android OS.
Can not move an progs to SD can not use backup and recovery software on my new ICS Tablet.
Is this a precurser to making users us the Cloud?
It is a shot in the foot for Google, people will just move to Windows tablets.
