I suggest you ...

support the Facebook hide feature

On Facebook I can click on hide to get rid of the stupid updates that some apps and some people clog my stream with. I'd like to be able to have a hide button in my facebook stream in seesmic web.

Just had to use seesmic when on low bandwidth conneciton and it's just horrible in facebook, all the stupid game posts that I've hidden come flooding back, and I can't find anything. Please please let me hide this tripe. Okay, lots of people might think the /whole/ of Facebook is tripe, but at least let me hid the really REALLY tripe things from *ville et al. Cheers!

Any comment from Seesmic? Seems my network has more time (and interest?) in farming than I do...

I too find this issue highly annoying. When will this fix be implemented?

Also suffering from the same problem here. I blocked Farmville in FaceBook yet in Seesmic web I have updates from Farmville, Petville, You-Name-It-ville. SO ANNOYING! Doesn't happen in desktop app or mobile app.

It is at least a year since the native FB filtering broke in Seesmic. It worked a long time ago. I would really appreciate if Seesmic at least respected the filtering from FB, ie. I don't want to see posts from hidden friends/pages.

I'm getting all sorts of 'ville' updates in my FB status updates in Seesmic web that don't appear in my real FB update. In fact, they aren't status updates from friends playing these games that I've hidden in FB. They seem to be coming from 'Pages' or something I've not liked at all. Are they adverts?

This is a deal breaker for using Seemic web's Facebook option. I have more updates for Farmville, ihearts et al than status updates from friends - and I haven't signed up for ANY of these apps. Hootsuite have managed this, so it can be done, really, truly, PLEASE move this up the list or we'll be leaving in droves!

You guys have absolutely got to add this. Facebook is useless without this. Why this still hasn't been supported after several months away from the app is baffling.

Count me in as one of the people that would give all ten votes to this. My feed is basically useless without being able to filter it

I'd love to make more use of Seesmic Web, but having Games and People that I've marked as hidden is really annoying. Surprising because these same things that are hidden DON'T display in Seesmic Desktop

Was it always like this ? I'm new to Seesmic but I believe FB made changes to its API and since then the SPAM came back for 3rd-party soft... saw the same thing via Digsby and they fixed it, I guess it would be as easy for Seesmic... anyhow, +1

I would love the means of blocking the 'villes. I do not have it on my FB, I have never accepted an invitation, and yet it still turns up on my news feed in seesmic. Probably the one thing that stops me recommending seesmic to other people.

I agree completely with Craig the whole timeline is clotted with 'villes. Making the use of seesmic for facebook obsolete.

I'd love to give this 10 votes but it get the 3 I can give it. Those game updates are like nails on a chalkboard. Please let us hide them.

      • CraigCraig commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

If I could put all of my 10 votes toward this suggestion, I would. All the Farmville, Yoville, Aquariumville, Whateverville spam is irritating!
