I suggest you ...

add feature that allows for posts to be edited before they are "retweeted" using Seesmic Desktop

I used the "retweet" function for the first time, and was very surprised to find I was not allowed an opportunity to edit the post before it was sent to Twitter.

I think you want the "quote" function

for some reason Seesmic seems to be pretty much the ONLY web-ui that actually features this function - which is why I'm using it

it's available from the gear-looking icon...

Yes, I think so this is an important and very useful feature to integrate in Seesmic Web.

I agree. I'm using Seesmic Web and can't add an commentary to a RT either. I never knew about the Quote feature.

I see it's on the drop down as 'quote' that works, but would be more convenient if it was one of the options along side rt

Absolutely! Current RT function is completely useless. I have to cut and paste BEFORE RTing.

I totally agree, and I know they have the capability since Seesmic web has that function. This is one of the things that make me fall in love with "Look"

That surprised me too. I think they call edited retweets "Quote" messages, which you can select instead. A pop-up indicating the difference would be a good idea, with buttons "Retweet" and "Cancel", perhaps with a "don't show this to me again" checkbox.
