Add support for twitlonger accross all platforms, this makes long tweeting much easier
Twitlonger is something that allows long tweets to very eaily be posted and provide followers with a link to read the rest if interested. It has several benefits, firstly if you are posting a long tweet you dont have to remmber what you wrote last before carrying on, the second is it allows users more flexability with their tweeting. I belive it should be on all platforms as it is something that greatly increaes the twitter experience for myself and many others.

dear god, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ppl just need to learn how to tweet within the parameters. 140 characters is the whole purpose of *micro*blogging.

Please no! Twitlonger and similar services do a disservice to the spirit of Twitter. Longer messages basically means that people are not being succinct in their message

Since the official twitter mobile application has support for this by default, it would seem even twitter themselves can see the benefit of sometimes going over the 140 chars limit so suggesting people use other sites rather than implement a feature that twitter themselves see as beneficial would seem to be a touch short sited
Perhaps they shouldn't have geo tagging in the mobile applications as people can just use foursquare. Or the ability to upload pictures as people can just use picasa or flickr

The whole point of Twitter is to make compact messages that fit 140 chars. If you wish to express yourself in more words, start a blog!
