  There used to be such a notification - a wee red box with the number of new DMs used to appear. This stopped working a few months ago. It would be good to have it back.

  the DM column doesn't seem to update at all, which is a shame as I have been using Seesmic for 5 hours and love it, barring having to check Messages all the time as DM's don't show immediately in column, like on Hootsuite or Tweetdeck. A big detractor for me.

  How do I know what account has a new message, and which messages have been read.

  I haven't figured out yet when the new message number shows up, and when it doesn't. (It doesn't seem consistent.) But, sometimes it works, and many times it doesn't.

  Some type of indicator is needed to show when a new DM is received. It would be much more convenient if the DM display were like the other views (Timeline, Mentions, Sent & Favorite).
