ping.fm where did you go my friend?
If Seesmic acquired Ping.fm over two years ago surely you have access to the source code behind Ping.fm and therefore could modify it to adopt the Seesmic logo or something yet keep the functionality of Ping.fm. How could the decision makers foul up so royally like this? That would be like Ford acquiring Ferrari (who users could get for free and have come to love) and then stripping away everything cool and attempting to sell it. Total and complete EPIC FAIL!!!

Pity that Seesmic didn't do this!
However, we're building a ping.fm replacement service called Composer - so there is light at the end of the tunnel!

What are you thinking taking away 98% of the functionality of a service as a re-launch of the product. The need is here. Service it.
