  Definitely. I have my own shortner via bit.ly, and I lose metrics when I post via Ping.

  I'd love to have integration with bit.ly where it shortens via my bit.ly account / API key.

  Personally I don't care whether it's bit.ly or not, but some URL shortener is definitely needed.
