How can we improve or what services should we add to Seesmic Ping

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Maintain a free service tier, in the spirit of Ping.fm

    If you're closing Ping.fm, you should maintain a free service tier for Ping. Remove features, limit posting frequency, whatever, but it should be a comparable service to the one you'll eventually close.

      We will have a free version with limited accounts and posts per day. We’ll continue to add features and services which we’ll make paid.

    • Allow posting to Facebook pages using Seesmic Ping web app without having to create a group first

      Using the Seesmic Ping Windows app or the Seesmic Ping Android app, I see the Facebook pages I admin as soon as I add the Facebook account. But in the Seesmic Ping web app the account list does not show these pages.

      To see the pages in the web app, it is necessary to:
      1. click Share to prepare to share a message.
      2. click the "+" beside Select a group...
      3. select the Facebook account from the Create group dialog
      4. click the checkbox(es) for the page(s) you want to post to.

      This is very far from obvious and…

        We’re working on a redesign to have easier access to pages. We wanted to get something soon and iterate with improvements. Appreciate your feedback.

          • Ability to clear all history or delete specific items from history

            Pretty self explanatory but it's annoying if you make an erroneous post and have to remove it manually from each medium and also cannot remove it from your ping history. It would be great if users were able to do both; i.e. delete of the medium via ping and also clear items from their history on ping

                  you can currently embed on tumblr and we’ll have embedding on videos for FB in a release. The embedding on links to FB in android is now live – please let us know what you think!
